I wore a Races@Remember HERE Pace band last year when I qualified for Boston. Their Pace Bands are high quality and a GREAT asset in racing to a PR. Although my Dad was not a fan of Tattoos, I will place this (temporary) Photo Tattoo on my Heart, to hold him close to me while I run. This is for me only this race. But I am sure in the Future I will wear Tattoos like this for the World to see. They have Name Tattoos also which will be great for future events!

Sticking to my Red, White and Blue Theme I have been told that the Boston fans will CHEER so I need to wear my Name with Pride. This is a great way to wear my Name without ruining one of my favorite shirts.

Ideas for Boston Outfit

Am I the only one who spends a lot of TIME creating the perfect Marathon outfit?? Don't answer that question. This weekend I found some pieces I think would look pretty cute and maybe slightly over-the-top on my 6'0 frame :) After the Nike top FAIL this weekend I am thinking of starting the race with a toss away sweatshirt and racing in a tank and arm sleeves..

How to Lose 10 pounds...

There is some gear that is super flattering and other gear that is GREAT for performance, but is just frumpy. I have one outfit that I love for the comfort and visability but I gain 10-15 pounds each time I wear it... Change a few pieces, make it a bit tighter around the waist, hide the thighs and WHAM, I lost 10 pounds :)

Comfort and Fashion combine... Look out!! Say no to Frumpy :) My Boston outfit is still TBD but it is safe to say that the green vest wont make the trip...

Tall Mom Thoughts:

I prefer a shoe that is light weight with some support and cushion. These shoes are my feather pillows. As a Northwest Runner I also need a shoe that will keep out the rain. I was worried when the shoe came with a mesh toe box, I thought I would be running in soggy sneakers...BUT to my delight this toe box allows my feet to breathe without letting the elements in.. SCORE!! I have been wearing these since October and am ready for a new pair :) Brooks hit a home run with these shoes, at just $100 you and your pocket book will be happy.

REMEMBER that there is an 80 mile challenge in August!! how are you all doing? I am a bit behind, for various reasons, but you better bet that I WILL run an ultra the last day of the month if it comes to that.. GOALS!!! Speaking of Goals I will not be running a Half Marathon tomorrow... I am very sad, mostly because I so so so wanted to run with Emily..having a speedster pacer would have been amazing. BUT family comes first and I am NEEDED somewhere other than the race course. I am hoping that the Magnuson race series people will let me defer my entry fee to a future race..

I am PLANNING to get in a great long run on my old stomping grounds this weekend, I will take pictures so you can see the places that made me first love running. Maybe I can get a new High Five picture so I can update my logo...lol!!

Life is Sweet because our new home is soo comfortable. We truly love it. There are a few things that I would love to have. Lights is the next thing on my list, I would LOVE a pretty chandellier for the dining room.
